If you have watched national news, Jay Leno or followed SPP on Facebook, you know it has been a wild couple days in Atlanta! Tuesday afternoon brought a couple inches of snow and our city was not prepared. As the flurries started, schools dismissed early, parents left work and the entire city hit the unsalted, snowy streets at the same time. As you can imagine, ice and EXTREME traffic do not pair well together! Thousands of children slept at school, students were stranded on buses and the interstates were completely full for hours and hours and HOURS! My sweet hubbie left work at 5pm and made it home at 1am. His 20 minute commute took 8 hours! We learned of others being stranded for 12, 18, even 24 hours! Pretty crazy! Once safe and sound, we took full advantage of our rare snow day and had lots of fun!

I hoped to bring a little a warmth to the blog this week with the girls’ mermaid party, but snow days have changed those plans. Please check in next week as I share some of the photos and all the details from their sweet day!!

I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend! We spent a couple days in the mountains with family and it was such a nice getaway! This week, I’m now preparing for a diaper shower in honor of one of my dearest friends. She is expecting her second baby boy in just a couple of weeks so we are re-stocking her changing table. It was really fun to work with some BOY colors for a change! Navy and Kelly green are one of my favorite color combos for the little guys. I even scanned my hubbie’s Polo shirts for a preppy stripe pattern. I’m designing the rest of the decor this week and look forward to sharing this new collection with you soon!

I know I say it all the time, but I just LOVE seeing your party photos!! The Preppy Nautical Party was the #1 selling collection of 2013 and it makes me so happy to see the precious smiles behind it! Miss Emilia celebrated her second birthday in preppy style and I’m excited to share these beautiful photos with you!

Emilia’s talented momma made this adorable party hat using the coordinating plate liners from the Preppy Nautical Collection. What a beautiful party girl ready for her big day! The wonderful photos were taken by Chelsea Victoria Photography. So so pretty! The pink and navy nautical cake was made by Cakes by May. With the design help of Elizabeth, Emilia’s mommy, a perfect plan was created. I love how they included the coordinating Preppy Nautical banner and matching monogrammed sailboat in the design. Wow, just darling! For those of you local to West Palm Beach, be sure to check out Cakes by May.

Another fun detail is this adorable custom made piñata! Using the monogram sailboat design, Rosalba of Miami, made a perfectly matching piñata! This is the first time I’ve seen a Preppy Nautical custom piñata! So so cute! Happy 2nd Birthday, sweet Emilia! Thank you, Elizabeth, for sharing your beautiful photos with us! I love that Sweet Peach could be a small part of Emilia’s very special day!

Happy New Year!! Wow, 2014! It’s exciting to think of what the new year holds! 2013 was a really great year for Sweet Peach! I’m so thankful to have Lauren, my orders assistant, join me as we move into the new year. She was definitely a highlight of 2013. Lots of new collections were added, many which still need to be revealed. I’m learning more and more each year and continue to enjoy this journey!

Julia and Anna Claire went back to pre-school today and our wonderful break has officially come to an end. I’m actually the mom that did not want to send them back. We enjoyed our vacation so much, but it is back to the routine for all of us! I’m excited to share with you a beautiful party that took place over the holiday. Meet this sweet and southern little gentleman, Thornton!

Thornton’s momma wanted a classic southern party for her little gentleman. We worked off the Preppy Nautical Collection with revisions to the colors, added wide stripes and a bow tie as the theme. The color requests were navy, gray and cranberry and I just love how they came together! Andrea Wood Photography captured the party details so well. Andrea is a very talented Atlanta photographer for those local. Thornton’s momma did such a beautiful job!! I’m honored that Sweet Peach was able to be a small part of it. Happy First Birthday, Thornton! You are a little southern gentleman from head to toe!
The bow tie cake and red velvet cupcakes came from a local Atlanta baker, Sugar Bends Bakery in East Cobb.
Even the gingerbread men were dressed for the occasion! I also love the bow ties added to the aprons!

If you have a need for a preppy cookie, Terri of Sweet Goosie Girl is your lady!  She created the anchor cookies for our Preppy Nautical Party and I have been hooked ever since!
The party favor was a gift card for a Chick-fil-a lunch, an Atlanta founded favorite!

Every southern party needs sweet tea and check out those beverage napkins!

How adorable is this family!  I love when a daddy is willing to participate in the fun!  Beautiful momma with her matching gentlemen…

Happy Birthday, Thornton!  I’m so glad you had a special day!  You are ONE!

I hope you and your family had a very Merry Christmas! It was such a fun day at our house! We stayed in our pajamas all day long and played, played, played! It is the only day of the entire year where I feel like the world actually stops for just a few hours. I LOVE it!!

This year, I designed coordinating envelopes. I loved the classic look as well as one less step when addressing. I will definitely be adding coordinating envelopes to collections to come!

If you love coordinating Christmas PJs as much as I do, be sure to visit Castles & Crowns. They have a great sale going on right now. I may just need to stock up for next year! Our pajamas were my first purchase from Castles & Crowns and I was so pleased!! The girls really loved them too!

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas!!

Do you have a photographer that needs a gift this year? A photo lover in your family? This summer, I received a request from Party Style Magazine to create a free download for their 2013 Holiday Issue. I was happy to help and Hobby Lobby made it much easier to think about Christmas FAR before December! I found this vintage camera fabric and used it as my inspiration. I know I would love a new lens this Christmas and I’m not even a photographer! Consider fabric as a fun way to wrap your themed gift, hang a camera ornament from your package and of course, download your free coordinating tag from Party Style Magazine. I hope you can put this freebie to great use! All supplies were purchased at Hobby Lobby. The ornaments can also be found at Michaels. Enjoy!

It’s that time and I can’t believe the holidays are upon us! The 2013 Christmas Card Collection has been loaded to the shop! A little preppy, a little classic and also some fun new hand drawn cards. This year, I called on a very talented artist and just loved working with her creations. Painting is definitely a talent that I do not have so thank you, Tracey! I still have some enclosure cards and return address labels to add, but know that every design will have a coordinating label if needed. I always love seeing your family photos and can’t wait to show off your cuties again this year! As you purchase, you will notice that professional printing is an option within the etsy listing. Please carefully read the listing summary for all the details. Happy Shopping and be sure you are following Sweet Peach on Facebook! Some fun sales and promotions will come throughout the month! A few of my favorites this year…

Last year, we created our first “Thankful Tree” and the girls just loved it! We gathered branches and pine cones from our backyard to start. Next, we cut out leaves from colored construction paper using a leaf template. There are many free patterns you can find with a quick google or pinterest search. We chose to use this one for a variety of leaf shapes. Every night at dinner, each of us would add our thankful leaf to the tree. It became our table centerpiece and looked so pretty by the end of the month! It would also be a fun way to share baby advice at a fall baby shower. Yesterday, we gathered our branches and are ready to start again. Join me in counting your many blessings and please know how thankful I am for YOU! Happy November!
