The very talented, Liz, of Cakery Creation recently sent me her adorable cake designed for a sweet customer’s Preppy Nautical party. Bakers always amaze me! Thank you, Liz, for sharing your beautiful work with us!

Earlier this summer, we celebrated with sweet friends in western style!  My dear friend, Krista, put together an adorable cowboy and cowgirl party for her 2 year old son and 5 year old daughter.  She is now selling all the extra party supplies for a really great deal!!

Once the guests arrived, they each picked out their hat, bandana, chalkboard name tag and sheriff badge. I love when children dress alike at parties. It makes for such cute pictures!

The party was held at The Art Barn in Canton. What a perfect spot! The children were able to pet and feed the animals, take pony rides, a family tractor ride, make animal art and more! Farmer Sue led a well organized visit and the kids really enjoyed it! The party ended with lunch in the barn full of western themed goodies!

Happy Trails! As guests left, the children were given a gift bag of horse and cowboy cookies, and the adults were given a goody bag of trail mix. It was a perfect treat for the ride home!

Krista is now selling all of her extra party supplies and wow, it is a list!! Cowboy hats, bandanas, cupcake toppers, birthday banner, straws, cookie cutters, popcorn boxes, sheriff badges, cast iron stars and décor, mason jars, burlap cloth, cupcake liners, plates, napkins and more!! An incredible deal that will save you lots of shopping time and money! If you are interested in the full list, quantities, pricing and more pictures, please send a message through the contact box.
Happy 5th Birthday, Ashley! Happy 2nd Birthday, Jonathan! We loved celebrating with you!

Our sweet Eliza B. is TWO! This year, we celebrated with a small family watermelon picnic. It was simple, but a sweet celebration! The weather was so nice and the sunset was beautiful. With exception to the mosquitos, it was the most wonderful night for a picnic!

The neighboring field was the perfect setting for our watermelon picnic. The red Pottery Barn table came straight from our play room, covered with a handmade eyelet table cloth. My mom had made it for a former party and I have used it again and again. White table cloths and white dishes are great party staples! My dad built the garden bench and I borrowed it from my parents’ back porch. I love the feeling of bringing furniture outdoors.
The adorable chalkboard print came from Dear Lillie. If you haven’t visited Dear Lillie, be sure to do so! They have beautiful home décor inspiration, pillows, and hand drawn prints. It’s a great blog to follow!

My talented mother-in-law (or “mother-in-love” as she sweetly calls herself) created the watermelon with watercolors and I digitally added it to the collection. I asked her to paint for me, but didn’t tell her my exact purpose. I was so excited to surprise her with a full Watermelon Picnic collection using her art!

The adorable watermelon cookies were custom designed by Kristie of Peapods. I love her style and was so impressed with her incredible work! If only I could bake!!

One of my new favorite punches by Martha Stewart was used to create the decorative eyelet edge on the lunch bags. Add a wooden spoon and collection sticker for an easy Watermelon Picnic lunch.

Thank you to the precious owner, Jamie, at Creations Bakery for the delicious cupcakes, cake and rosette chocolates! Her cupcakes have always been my favorite!!

The beautiful photos are by the talented Kim Craig Ali Photography. Kim is sooo great to work with! If you are in the Atlanta area, you want to check her out. Inspired by Eliza’s Watermelon Picnic, Kim will be offering watermelon mini sessions soon!

The Watermelon Picnic Collection can be printed with a straight edge or rounded corners. The corners can be hand cut using the provided tracing lines or cut with a rounded corner punch.

Watermelon slices make for a great summer birthday cake!

Liza B. loves watermelon!! By the end of our picnic, she was dripping in watermelon juice and one happy girl!

Happy Birthday, Eliza! We are so blessed by you! Your sweet laughter, silly faces and adorable personality bring so much joy to our family. We love you!! Happy 2nd Birthday, big girl!

For the girls’ 4th birthday, we celebrated poolside with a pink and green sea turtle beach club theme.  During our family beach trip, the girls spotted a baby sea turtle and watched his LONGGG voyage from the nest to the ocean.  The fun experience and a desire for a pool party quickly decided their preppy birthday theme! Once home from the beach, we whipped up their invites and celebrated a week and a half later.  It was very fast party planning, but the girls really enjoyed it!  To be just four years old, they are the best shoppers, which made searching for all their pink and green party goodies all the more fun!

The dessert table was set up on the clubhouse balcony, overlooking our neighborhood pool and lake.  With the help of some wonderful vendors, the party was simple and sweet, but most importantly, a really fun time for the girls!  I designed the invitations and paper decor, and then sought the help of some great talent…

The adorable cookies were custom designed by Sweet Goosie Girl to perfectly match our preppy pink and green sea turtle theme.  Be sure and visit Terri for your next cookie purchase!!  Her creations are not only adorable, but so delicious!

The turtle cupcakes and cake were created by a local baker, Creations Bakery.   The owner, Jamie, is so kind and wonderful to work with!  You name it, she can bake it!  Thank you Creations for our sea turtle sweets!

A very big thank you goes to Stacy Mize Photography for sharing her time and talent!  Stacy photographed Eliza’s big day, formerly Princess P. Photography, and was back again for more fun.  What a pleasure to work with!  See more of Stacy’s work at stacymizephotography.com.

The polka dot napkins were a dollar find at Walmart!  The printable napkin wraps will be available in the shop with the sea turtle party collection.  Pink and green polka dots, lattice and greek key patterns were used on the paper decor throughout.

“Lil Turtle Lunches” were made for all our party friends.  Each sand castle pail was filled with a starfish sandwich, green apple and some goldfish “Turtle Treats”.  The sand castle pails were found at Party City.

Thank you to Fun Paper Straws  for our pink and green straws!  What is it about paper straws?  I just love them!!

The girls’ initals were made of patterned card stock, cut into the letter shape and lined with green yarn.  Thank you Anders Ruff for the inspiration!  My desire was to make the girls the focus of the party table versus our cake or a traditional centerpiece.  By using their initals and pictures, I think we did just that!

The girls’ favorite turtle backpacks made a party appearance as well.

Favor Boutique by Angelique created the pink and green soap favors, which were a big hit with my little ones!  Yes, these adorable sea turtles were handmade soaps!  Isn’t that a fun favor and practical too?  Thank you Angelique for sharing your talent with us!

The pink and green party balloons were kindly supplied by Party Depot.  Nancy, the sweetest owner, carries my favorite polka dot balloons along with paper plates, napkins and LOTS of your needed party goods!

Our sea turtle theme invited our friends to “Slow Down and Celebrate” and that is exactly what we did!  We enjoyed sweet treats and some wonderful catering thanks to The City Bistro.  The City Bistro is another fabulous vendor in dowtown Cumming that helped make our day so great!

Beautiful weather, dear friends and family…..it was the most perfect night to celebrate our precious girls as the summer came to an end! Happy Birthday, Anna Claire!  Happy Birthday, Julia!  We love you so much!!

A VERY BIG thanks to all our fabulous contributors!!

Two weeks ago, we celebrated our precious daughters, Anna Claire and Julia!  My little girls are FOUR!  Yes, I know to those of you with older children, they are still babies.  To me, we have turned a corner and they are getting so big!  I have to say that I often miss them as babies.  As hard as that stage was, I would love to go back and truly enjoy it.  With all the worry and question that goes into being a first time parent, it just seems you can enjoy the ”second child” so much more.  Don’t you agree?  I’d love to step back in time for a few days, but we all know it doesn’t quite work that way.  Instead, I flip through my bazillions of pictures and watch all those random moments I have on video!  For the many of you that do not know me personally, change is not very easy for me.   The fact that my little ones are growing up fast goes into that category!  Happy Birthday to my “BIG” girls!  You give your momma so so much joy!!  I just wish you could slow down, just a bit!

Thanks to Sweet Goosie Girl, we had some adorable sea turtle cookies that were such a hit!!  Lots more to come of the girls’ pink and green sea turtle pool party!

In April, Grace Marie’s mommy contacted me about changing the colors of the Vintage Barbie Collection to aqua and black.  Absolutely!  Her daughter’s party was being held at the most adorable cupcake shoppe, The Perfect Circle Cupcakery in Orange, California.  The shoppe’s decor was black, white and aqua so with a few changes, the Vintage Barbie Collection perfectly matched the party setting and brought everything together so sweetly.
