>We had the sweetest time celebrating the girls’ 2nd birthday, even though I have been delayed in posting pictures of their special day!! It was perfect weather, surrounded by dear friends and family, and simply a great morning of celebrating our little girls. We were also blessed with my dear friend Holly who photographed all the fun! You can see more of her work at hollykittlephoto.blogspot.com! So here it is, Anna Claire and Julia’s Garden Party… I cleaned up some old pots, a coat of spray paint, added some gingham ribbon and they became the perfect display for our “rakes and shovels!”
For the main centerpiece, I bought a pink watering can from HomeGoods and filled it with flowers from Michaels. The metal laterns also came from Michaels. The great thing about a garden party at the end of the summer is all the clearance garden prices!!
The bee and flower fondant toppers came from BB Cakes. You can see more of Becky’s great cake designs at b-bcakes.blogspot.com! The gingham cupcake liners came from Michaels and were just the perfect colors so I couldn’t resist!
The girls’ adorable party dresses and headbands were custom made by my sweet friend Ashley with Festive Frills. She is opening a new etsy shop soon so be sure to check out chickadeechickadee.etsy.com for a great collection of handmade clothing and hair accessories!
I bought the pink paper pots from Walmart and filled them with granola, pretzel sticks and a gummy worm to make the perfect “Garden Grub.” This particular banner was compliments of my crafty aunt and her awesome circuit machine. My banners available for purchase will be on display in the garden party collection.
My mom made this great “Dirt Cake” with oreo cookie crumbs creating the dirt surface. A garden shovel was used for serving the cake! :)
The party favors for the girls were small watering cans that came from Target’s summer pool collection. The boy favors were rakes that I found at the Dollar Tree!
My favorite party girls…
Happy Birthday to my sweet girls!! I can’t wait for more birthdays and hope you always feel extra loved on your special day! :)
These fun invites were made for a girls’ weekend away in honor of their bride-to-be. They are having a honeymoon themed shower and the wedding colors are black and white so put that together and voila… “Beth will be a Mrs. oh so soon, Let’s get her ready for her tropical honeymoon!”
>My dear friend Natalie had her triplets a couple weeks ago and I am honored to be helping with her baby shower! The babies were born at 26 weeks, but are doing amazingly well considering their early arrival. Here is the invite that I made for her three little peas…
> My sweet babies are turning TWO next week!!! It’s so hard to believe and I know it only moves faster from here. The girls just LOVE being outside and “helping” me in the yard… usually that means picking up the mulch and putting it in the grass! ;) They are in training though for how to pick weeds! With that and end of the summer garden clearances, a garden picnic party was born! August is a great time to have a garden party at an extra great price! I spotted the most perfect pink and lime watering cans at Target and that is where I began. Here is a peek at the invites that I designed, but there is lots more to come! Party planning is in full gear as their special day is only a week away!!!
> I was honored when one of my college roommates and BFFs asked me to design the invitations for her brother’s rehearsal dinner! They are having a of a rustic garden theme, accenting with vines, pots and bird cages. I can just imagine laterns on the tables and beds of moss around the centerpieces. I love the idea of chocolate and greens for an October wedding! I also found some fun inspiration as I was continuing to obsess over the pictures from StyleMePretty.com. Here are a few ideas that would be so fun to go along with this theme. What a pretty fall dinner party this would make!
> This baby whale invite was designed to coordinate with the European Cabana Collection from Restoration Hardware. This was my first time to really look at their nursery bedding and oh how cute and classic it is!! Really pretty! I will definitely do some shopping with them if more babies come our way. On a another note, does anyone remember the “Baby Beluga” episode from Full House? Yes, I am an 80s child and LOVED that show! There was an episode where little Michelle sang this “Baby Beluga” song over and over and had it stuck in everyone’s heads. While making these invites, that is all I could think of and now have “Baby Beluga” stuck in my head!
> It’s only July, but most new orders coming in are for September events. September means fall and fall means football!! I graduated from UT so I’m a big VOL fan, but I somehow still graciously accepted this order for an Auburn party! ;) I think I need to get to work on some UT invites to make it even. Maybe even some Georgia ones to make my hubbie happy too. If your little quarterback or cheerleader has a fall birthday, a football themed party would be pretty cute!
Some fun chocolate and baby blue invites for the little boy in your life! Coordinating cupcake toppers, favor tags and banners are also available with any of my invitations.
> Ashley is turning two and her sweet mommy asked me to design an invitation for her Polka Dot Party! Of COURSE, I would love to! :) I am working on the banner and cupcake toppers now so those pictures will be coming soon. Until then, I wanted to share the fun invitation that she chose…
