Adorable twins, Raylee and Blair, celebrated their second birthday in Preppy Nautical style. Their creative mommy chose bright pink and blue for their color scheme and added so many cute details! I think the “Pin the Sail on the Sailboat” might be my favorite! Such a classic birthday game that is always loved! The sweet photos were kindly shared by Michelle Able Photography.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Raylee and Blair! What a sweet celebration! Find more ideas for your Preppy Nautical party on the blog HERE! Find the full Preppy Nautical Collection in the SHOP!

This summer, I shared a few of these beautiful photos on the Sweet Peach FB page, but am excited to finally share more! I had the pleasure of working with the SWEETEST bride as she planned her Preppy Nautical wedding on Chesapeake Bay. So fun!! The photography is by LizandRyan.com and event styling by lemon and lime event design. From the original Preppy Nautical collection, I replaced the sailboat with a monogram anchor, simplified the invitation and created her collection in coral, navy and a few touches of green. From the invitation set to the welcome baskets and throughout the bayside reception, I loved seeing our collection in so many details…

This creative bride had so many fun ideas! I love how she put the Preppy Nautical favor tags to a new use!

Do you recognize those anchor cookies?  I discovered Sweet Goosie Girl when I was planning for Eliza’s Preppy Nautical Party and have loved her ever since!  I was excited to see this sweet bride felt the same way!

I’m unable to share a photo of the Preppy Nautical Wedding Invitation as C+G desired to keep those details and their identification very private.  However, you can see a sample with revised details in this previous blog post.  I love how it came together with the RSVP card and informational enclosure.  The bride was so cute with her fun wording!

C+G, it was such an honor to be a small part of your very big day! Your creative touches came together in such a beautiful and fun way! Congrats to you both!!

My husband was checking our credit card the other night when I heard, “What is Posh Pickle?” I may be slightly in love with their new spring line! I also have this ticking timer in my head and know that I won’t get to dress the girls this way for long! They are growing up so fast on me!! I have a serious heart for sweet smocked dresses and preppy southern clothing. Posh Pickle is just that! They are also one of the MOST reasonable, yet quality clothing shops that I have come across! If this is your style, you NEED to take a visit to Posh Pickle. Your husband will thank me!! This is one of my favorites so far. I bought these sweet lobster dresses and just love them! We are going to Kennebunkport, Maine this summer so I couldn’t resist!
I love how perfectly so many of the Posh Pickle dresses match our party collections! Wouldn’t these sweet seashell dresses be great for your Mermaids and Mommies party?
Perfect match for your bright pink Preppy Nautical party….

And that is just the beginning! Be sure to become a Facebook fan for the Tuesday night auctions. Everything I’ve bought has been on sale!! Happy Shopping!

I know I say it all the time, but I just LOVE seeing your party photos!! The Preppy Nautical Party was the #1 selling collection of 2013 and it makes me so happy to see the precious smiles behind it! Miss Emilia celebrated her second birthday in preppy style and I’m excited to share these beautiful photos with you!

Emilia’s talented momma made this adorable party hat using the coordinating plate liners from the Preppy Nautical Collection. What a beautiful party girl ready for her big day! The wonderful photos were taken by Chelsea Victoria Photography. So so pretty! The pink and navy nautical cake was made by Cakes by May. With the design help of Elizabeth, Emilia’s mommy, a perfect plan was created. I love how they included the coordinating Preppy Nautical banner and matching monogrammed sailboat in the design. Wow, just darling! For those of you local to West Palm Beach, be sure to check out Cakes by May.

Another fun detail is this adorable custom made piñata! Using the monogram sailboat design, Rosalba of Miami, made a perfectly matching piñata! This is the first time I’ve seen a Preppy Nautical custom piñata! So so cute! Happy 2nd Birthday, sweet Emilia! Thank you, Elizabeth, for sharing your beautiful photos with us! I love that Sweet Peach could be a small part of Emilia’s very special day!

Happy New Year!! Wow, 2014! It’s exciting to think of what the new year holds! 2013 was a really great year for Sweet Peach! I’m so thankful to have Lauren, my orders assistant, join me as we move into the new year. She was definitely a highlight of 2013. Lots of new collections were added, many which still need to be revealed. I’m learning more and more each year and continue to enjoy this journey!

Julia and Anna Claire went back to pre-school today and our wonderful break has officially come to an end. I’m actually the mom that did not want to send them back. We enjoyed our vacation so much, but it is back to the routine for all of us! I’m excited to share with you a beautiful party that took place over the holiday. Meet this sweet and southern little gentleman, Thornton!

Thornton’s momma wanted a classic southern party for her little gentleman. We worked off the Preppy Nautical Collection with revisions to the colors, added wide stripes and a bow tie as the theme. The color requests were navy, gray and cranberry and I just love how they came together! Andrea Wood Photography captured the party details so well. Andrea is a very talented Atlanta photographer for those local. Thornton’s momma did such a beautiful job!! I’m honored that Sweet Peach was able to be a small part of it. Happy First Birthday, Thornton! You are a little southern gentleman from head to toe!
The bow tie cake and red velvet cupcakes came from a local Atlanta baker, Sugar Bends Bakery in East Cobb.
Even the gingerbread men were dressed for the occasion! I also love the bow ties added to the aprons!

If you have a need for a preppy cookie, Terri of Sweet Goosie Girl is your lady!  She created the anchor cookies for our Preppy Nautical Party and I have been hooked ever since!
The party favor was a gift card for a Chick-fil-a lunch, an Atlanta founded favorite!

Every southern party needs sweet tea and check out those beverage napkins!

How adorable is this family!  I love when a daddy is willing to participate in the fun!  Beautiful momma with her matching gentlemen…

Happy Birthday, Thornton!  I’m so glad you had a special day!  You are ONE!

Hey sweet readers! I’m sorry it has been so quiet on the blog lately. I sure hope you follow Sweet Peach Paperie on Facebook for more daily interaction! I am looking to hire our first employee (pretty exciting!) so hopefully I will have more posts returning to the blog very soon! Meanwhile, I’m glad to let you know that I am now selling the small plastic containers as seen in Eliza’s Preppy Nautical Party and Anna Claire & Julia’s Sea Turtle Party. You no longer have to search for your own! I’ve had request after request for those sweet containers and am happy to now say, “YES!! I actually DO carry those!” To place an order, please email sweetpeachpaperie@gmail.com. Thanks!!

It has been quite the spring of Preppy Nautical birthdays, showers and weddings.  WOW, thank you for all your orders!  It brings me such delight for others to enjoy this collection as much as we did for our sweet Eliza!  I have received lots and lots of questions specific to this party theme so I thought it would be helpful to compile those FAQs.  If I have not answered your question, please send me an email through the contact box and I would be happy to help!

How did you create the stripe backdrop for your dessert table?
The backdrop is a piece of dry wall (borrowed from my Dad’s workshop) covered in fabric. The pink stripe fabric was purchased online through Fabric.com. Find the exact fabric HERE and grab a coupon HERE.

Do you offer the Preppy Nautical Collection in other colors?
Absolutely! The full collection is available in the original pink/navy, bright pink/navy, red/navy, light blue/navy, Kelly green/navy, yellow/navy and orange/navy. Those color options are now offered as choices in the drop down menus with each Preppy Nautical listing. If you have a custom color request, please let me know. An additional fee will apply.

Where can I buy the plastic “Catch of the Day” containers?
I was asked this question so many times that I am now carrying the plastic containers in the shop! YAY! You can purchase in the listed quantities or request a custom order. Find the containers in the shop HERE!

Do you offer a package with everything included?
Yes! The FULL Preppy Nautical Collection includes the invite (classic or photo) along with every file pictured. The FULL Collection is a total of 16 files. If you need just the basics, a MINI party package is also available with the invite and a total of 8 files.

Where did you buy the mini parfait containers?
The mini parfait containers that we used are actually plastic and can be purchased at Party City for $4.99! I have also seen mini glass parfaits at Pier 1 and Walmart.

Will you print and ship the full collection?
At this time, I am only taking printed orders for invitations. I have been able to make a few exceptions when time has allowed, but overall, my schedule is very full. Always feel free to ask!

Can I purchase the small wooden sailboats?
Yes, my dad is the one who builds the boats. They are $8 each. The kit includes a coordinating fabric sail and all parts for assembly. Once they arrive, it takes about 10 minutes for a toddler to assemble with a bit of adult supervision. To place an order, please request a PayPal invoice. The kids loved the boats we built at our Preppy Nautical party!

Can the wording of the collection be revised?
Sure! The Preppy Nautical collection has been used for birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, weddings, club events and fundraisers so wording can be revised accordingly.

Is it possible to add wording to the flag banner?
Yes, I do have the flag banner available with “Happy Birthday” and “I am 1″. Additional choices are possible for a custom fee.

Where did you purchase the navy envelopes?
The navy envelopes pictured are from Paper-Source.com. The A9 envelope shown is needed for the 5×8.5 invitation style. If you prefer the standard 5×7 invitation, you would need an A7 envelope.

Can I substitute one of the items in the Preppy Nautical MINI package?
If it is an even exchange, absolutely!

Where did you purchase the favor bags and what was inside?
The pink striped favor bags came from Shop Sweet Lulu. As the favor, I created personalized stationery. We gave navy notes to the boys and pink notes to the girls. The children also took home the sailboat they built at the party.

Where did you purchase your cake stand and white dishes?
I LOVE this cake stand and it is such a bargain! You can buy the exact stand as well as the smaller matching stand at Pier1 Imports! Pier1 is also where I have purchased many of my white serving plates. HomeGoods and TJ Maxx are also great spots to find them.

I hope these answers will help you create a very special Preppy Nautical party! For the full blog post on Eliza’s 1st Birthday and more party details, click HERE!

I’m so excited to share with you Eliza’s very first birthday party! I chose this pink and navy nautical theme after deciding that we wanted to have her party on the lake in our neighborhood. With a lakeside setting, preppy nautical seemed to be the perfect fit! Miss E also has two pink and navy outfits that were among my favorites on her so it was settled… a preppy pink and navy nautical celebration! The weather was perfect and it was a beautiful evening to spend with some dear friends. Now getting there, that is another story! It was one of those days where more seemed to go unplanned than planned. And I am quite the planner!! However, thanks to my wonderful hubbie, parents and some fabulous vendors, Eliza’s celebration came together just as I hoped for her very special day! My baby is ONE!
The wonderful pictures are courtesy of Princess P. Photography. Wow, Stacy was way more than a photographer! She took pictures, assisted, took pictures, assembled, took pictures, taped, and took more pictures on top of that! What a blessing! You can see lots more of Stacy’s fabulous work at princesspphotography.com. Thank you, Stacy, for giving of your time and services!!
The table on the lawn was set for our little party friends. Since my sewing expertise are zero, my mom made the navy table cloth. I found the best bargain on fabric, add a coupon and we made the table cloth for $3! I designed the place mats, napkin wraps, stickers and flag straws to coordinate with our nautical theme. All items will be available for purchase in the shop very soon. The table and white chairs were kindly offered by It’s My Party in Alpharetta. It’s My Party is your full party rental for bounce houses, tents, popcorn machines and all kinds of adorable items for your big events. Last year, I showed up to a party rental company and my table and chairs were not there. Our party quickly turned into a picnic! It’s My Party had our order on the sidewalk and ready to load instantly. Wonderful!
It was so much fun to design the invitations for Eliza. The invites are always my very favorite part! I lined the navy envelopes with a pink stripe paper and sealed them with a coordinating return address sticker. I’ll have to get some pictures and a tutorial for you. So easy and waaayyy less expensive than purchasing lined envelopes. It’s those silly little details that I get excited about!
We set up the party table inside the gazebo and filled it with the talents of so many! The cake…. oh I loved the cake! A big thanks to Jamie and Creations Bakery in Cumming for designing exactly what I had in mind! Creations is not only a bakery, but it is full of baking supplies and party items. They also host parties where the birthday child can decorate cakes with their friends. Isn’t that a fun party idea! For the children, I made “sailor sandwiches” and popped them in these way cute pink lunch bags to make a peanut butter sandwich feel a little more fun. The bags are from Party Depot in Cumming. This store is 5 minutes from our house and I just now discovered it! Wow, what a find and sooo reasonably priced! Party Depot has a great supply of party goods, balloons and one very sweet owner. Thank you, Nancy, for your adorable pink polka dot and navy balloons!

So many customers ask me about water bottle wraps and how I make them. Super simple! Print them on regular paper, cut and use a bit of glue stick to adhere to the bottle. Sometimes, I add a small piece of clear tape in the back. They fit any standard size water bottle, but the shape of Kroger brand water bottles seem to work extra well for me. Chill them in the fridge before the party and lay them out just before your guests arrive. You can use a sticker label if you’d like, but I find the paper wraps to be much easier to work with. The wraps will also be available for purchase with the preppy nautical collection soon.
More cuteness arrived on my doorstep courtesy of Sweet Goosie Girl. How adorable are these anchor cookies?! Terri, the creative hands behind Sweet Goose Girl, really has some talent! If you can dream it, she can make it! The packaging in itself was really amazing to be sure her delights arrived safely. On top of cuteness, they were delicious. I fully admit to eating one within minutes of their arrival. I have a serious sweet tooth! Thank you, Sweet Goosie Girl!

I filled a dollar bin Target pail with “Life Preservers” aka Lifesavers. The individual containers were pretzel goldfish that I labeled as “Catch of the Day”. The cute containers were one of my fun finds. We were eating lunch at Atlanta Bread & Co. and those perfect little containers were served with the kid’s meal. It never hurts to ask! I offered to purchase some and the kind manager gave me as many as I needed. Love it!
And the cuteness continues! Claudia the Cupcake Lady whipped up these perfectly coordinating fondant toppers! I really need to learn to bake, but thank goodness for friendly talent! Claudia sent her way cute toppers along with a sailboat topper for Eliza’s smash cake. All of her products are available for purchase in her etsy shop, including my very favorite nautical goodies! Thank you, Claudia, for your attention to detail!

I used the coordinating navy paper for some DIY popcorn cones and labeled them “Popcorn for the Shrimps” with the nautical collection menu tents. We put together some mini yogurt parfaits topped with blueberries as a healthy snack for the kiddos. The individual parfait cups were found at Party City and I can’t wait to use them again!

The navy and pink striped paper straws were graciously sent by Fun Paper Straws. Talk about fast service! I contacted Fun Paper Straws about being one of our contributors and the straws were in the mail within hours!! I designed some coordinating straw flags and voila! Thank you, Gary, for your incredible customer service!

I created a slideshow for my big girls on their first birthday, but since we were outside I had to settle for a few of my favorite pictures.  Anna Claire and Julia LOVE watching their “picture movie” so it is still on my list to create for Miss E.  As our friends left, we sent them home with a goody bag of personalized notes along with their hand-built sailboat.  The favor bags along with tons of adorable party products can be found at Shop Sweet Lulu.  Super cute shop!

I wish I had pictures of the girls building their sailboats.  I thought it would be a fun activity for both the boys and girls and it turned out that only one of our little guy friends was able to come.  So we had lots of little girls with hammers and nails, building sailboats.  It was really cute!  My dad cut all the wood pieces and my mom made the sails.  Below is one snapshot of my own as they set sail in the lake.  My Anna Claire is in the pink shirt, Julia is in the navy and Eliza was watching in the background. The sailboats are available for purchase. My dad has continued to build them for lots of Preppy Nautical parties!

It has been an incredible year that has just flown by.  We are so thankful for our Eliza and loved every minute of celebrating her. I leave you with a few sweet shots from Eliza’s one year photo shoot.  Photos by Katie Davidson Photography and the balloons are from Party Depot.

Happy Birthday, Eliza Brooks Allen!  You are so very loved!
